Scholastic Books Program
Each order helps earn free books for the daycare, as well as bonus coupons. These bonus coupons are used to purchase the books each child receives from Santa at the Christmas concert.
There are two ways to order: 1. Through PLAY, by marking the flyers; 2. By setting up your own online account.
1. Every two months throughout the school year we will make available the club flyers. You’ll find award-winning books, as well as old and new favourites. The books span a wide range of children’s reading levels and interests and they are inexpensive (some books cost $1.99).
It is easy to order. Just look over the flyer with your child, select the books you want, mark them on the order form on the back of the flyer, and return the order form with payment in cash or a cheque payable to Scholastic Canada Ltd. by the deadline. The books will arrive in about two weeks once the class order has been placed through to Scholastic.
2. Alternatively, parents can set up an online account with ‘Scholastic Reading Club Canada’ (http://scholastic.ca/) and link their account with “P L A Y Comm Childcare”. While parents can order books at any time, the shipment will not occur until the classroom order is placed. Books will be shipped to PLAY.
